•The Camp Manager/Supervisor position is a multi-faceted position requiring the person to maintain the constant operational status of the camp. This position requires detailed planning, coordinating, executing and evaluating of the daily requirements of the field camp located in a remote environment.
•The Camp Manager/Supervisor will work independently under the general direction of the senior management in the field camp. The expectation is to provide excellent customer service to all employees and clients being housed at the exploration field camp. As this position is critical to the overall functionality of the field camp, it would be expected of the individual to do everything to ensure occupants of the exploration camp are catered for as required.
•The Camp Manager/Supervisor will need to be able to work unsupervised while staying in line with site QA/QC procedures. This physically demanding and fast paced environment will be well suited to a driven and energetic individual that has a high regard for safety and quality while taking pride in their work. The individual must be physically fit and happy to work in inhospitable areas and in bad weather conditions, living and working under field conditions.
•Manage the day-to-day activities of the exploration field camp in a manner to support the exploration program. This will periodically include oversight of additional camps and relocation of the camp as required by the exploration program.
•Perform and manage the ordering/procurement of all required items, food, water, other goods, fuel, etc required for the exploration field camp.
•Uphold camp and workplace health and safety standards
• Supervise, train and manage kitchen, maintenance and camp support staff including daily scheduling and daily/weekly meetings
•Inspecting, evaluating and ensuring the camp cleanliness, food quality and maintenance, and controlling inventory to meet or exceed expectation
•Prepare and submit daily reports, plus weekly and monthly reports as required to management
•Perform or manage administrative tasks which include workplace safety, inspections, managing room assignment, & transportation
•Perform or manage maintenance and repair tasks including general maintenance plus new projects as required
•Perform or manage vehicle management and maintenance as required
•Excellent communication skills (English oral speaking and writing mandatory)
