Department:Logistics, Fleet & Workshop Unit (Systems Information)

General Description:

• Ensure that all datareceived or sent from various sources is properly monitored, analyzed andchecked for accuracy and in turn produce the required reporting output inaccordance to the policies/procedures & normative guidelines as set byAgency .
• Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science/Statistics and English as main subjects.
• Master’s degree coursein Information Systems and Technology or postgraduate course specialized instatistics & analysis considered and asset but not a requirement.
• Held the position ofStatistician/Data Analysis Administrator or similar job in a company/NGO withat least two years’ experience gained in the relevant field.
• Good working knowledgeand experience working with Microsoft MS Office Suite.
• Comprehensive understandingand good working knowledge with Microsoft Access (Relational DatabaseManagement System).
• Good working knowledgewith Windows and Internet Explorer
• Experience gainedworking in a Local Area Network environment and performed administrative dutiesrelating to Network Management considered to be an asset although not arequirement.
• Excellent command ofthe English Language, both written and spoken is mandatory

Duties:

• Ensure that anyinformation/data or reports requested are promptly carried out and expedited inan efficient manner.

Perform softwarechecking routines established and ensure that all the data downloaded into thesystem is accurate and take the necessary steps to resolve any irregularities.

Interpret data, analyzeresults using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports

Develop and implementdata collection systems and other strategies that optimize statisticalefficiency and data quality

Acquire data fromprimary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems

Identify, analyze, andinterpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

Filter and “clean” data,and review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locateand correct code problems

Work closely with Fleetmanagement to prioritize business and information needs

Locate and define newprocess improvement opportunities in Fleet Systems Operations

Responsible to ensurethat all data produced in the system is accurate and always sent and receivedon a timely basis and to report any irregularities to immediate Supervisor.

Consolidate allfindings and to convert these conclusions reached into useful formats which canbe interpreted by management for appropriate action and decision making.

Constantly collect andcollate useful data which can be used to improve the general systemsestablished and communicate this information to immediate supervisor
