VBUunit (Vis-breaking is a mild thermal cracking process used to reduce pourpoints and viscosities of “Heavy Oil” to meet the required specifications for“fuel oil”. A Vis-breaker thermally cracks large hydrocarbon molecules in theoil by heating to reduce its viscosity and to produce small quantities of lighthydrocarbons.
A Vis-breaker may be defined also as aprocessing unit of an oil refinery whose purpose is to reduce the quantity ofresidual fuel oil produced in the processing of crude oil and to increase theyield of more valuable middle distillates (heating oil, diesel) by therefinery.
The process name – Vis-breaking - refers tothe reduction in viscosity ("viscosity breaking").In Petro- Energy E&Poil & gas operating company from 29-4-2013 until now.
Responsibilities:-
WorkScope & Responsibilities(Water treatment):
ØResponsiblefor steam supply with 2 boilers operation(product superheated steam Pressure0.8 MPA and 250 C), softening water skid operation, chemical makeup as requiredby regulation, stream filters operation
ØRoutineCheck for all Equipment’s.
ØResponsibleof RO unit (reverse smooth) one of type use to water treatment.
WorkScope & Responsibilities(VB):
ØDaily operation of the aboveequipment under instructions of foreman.
ØTimely checking for the aboveequipment and patrolling.
ØPrepare chemical makeup regularlyand precisely.
ØDiscard empty barrel of chemicalproperly.
ØGathering samples of oil andreflux water and send it to lab as normally followed.
Ø Adjust chemical dosage according to labanalysis.
ØManage chemical stock byperforming chemical transfer from stock area to plant area and notifying DCSstaff to update stock.
ØControlling pH precisely withinthe perfect values.
WorkScope & Responsibilities(DCS&Pumps):
DCS
ØResponsible for ESD operation,make sure ESD is properly working
ØResponsible for contact fieldoperators to adjust operations under foreman’s direction and process adjustmentrequirement
ØResponsible for DCS operation,control and manipulate parameters as per parameter requirement and regulations.
ØResponsible for contact CPF, pumpstation, power plant, report to foreman timely the contact result.
ØFill daily report of operation,parameter record, chemical injection and consumption record. Timely reportchemicals stock status to supervisor.
ØResponsible for technique datafilling, record first hand data and material.
ØResponsible for transfer ofinstruction from top management, make report as required.
ØCheck daily analysis quantityreport and make adjustment accordingly to keep products qualified.
ØTraining of national staff.
Pumps:
ØResponsible for standby pumps’shaft cranking work, 540° per day, for oil samplings taking work, for oilsamplings taking work cleaning the pumps and motors, for equipment’s dailyreport filling with running hours,
Ø Timelycheck above pumps inlet, outlet pressure and inlet differential pressure,ensure there is no overpressure and no insufficient liquid supply, currentdata, leaking status, especially mechanical seal, Switch pumps as required,make preparation for pumps to be maintained or repaired.
