Applying process simulation program(Petro-Sim, HYSYS) for process optimization.

Collects monthly plant productionand operating data, evaluates unit efficiencies by relating chemical and energyconsumption to plant throughput. Identifies possible trends, prepares reportswith comments and submits to supervisor for review.

Monitors equipment and systemsperformance, identifies potential problems and submits recommendations forappropriate actions such as revising operating modes or conditions,recommending chemical dosing and specifications, Issues the monthly planttechnical report.

Participates in theidentification of possible solutions in process problem areas includesanalyzing operating reports and discussing problem items with the department concerned.(i.e. calculating of desalting & dewatering efficiencies of electrostaticdesalters, catalyst performance monitoring,).

Developing solutions for unitoptimization, study new ideas and innovative technologies to enhance plantoperation. (Participate in the project of modifying the manual un-headingdevices of coke towers (4 towers) (top & bottom devices) to automaticun-heading equipments for a delayed coking plant (contact design institute,site visit, prepared technical agreement for the both sites, equipment testperformance (FAT).

Providesfunctional assistance and analyses the results of special tests fromoperational units, in order to provide further information for analysis and /or to test check effectiveness of alterations. Involves close monitoring oftest runs and close collaboration with the operations department. (I.e. Conductseveral test runs of delayed coker, crude distillation and other units in orderto check the performance (mainly when blending crude oils, or applying new typeof chemicals, catalyst and before & after unit turnaround).

Providestechnical services and assistance to other sections such as instrumentation,maintenance, inspection and materials as required. Includes investigatingproblems associated with process, diagnosing corrosion problems, preparing technicalspecifications of operating chemicals and other materials and carrying out thetechnical evaluation of bids for chemicals and catalysts.

Provides comments on the drawingsand P&IDs. Checks the process documentation issued by licensors forconsistency. Follows up on detailed engineering of new projects, checks designcalculations, engineering drawings and specifications and makes comments asappropriate.

Gas & LPGtreatment (sulfur removing through amine & caustic treatment)
